I still have fond memories of playing that game called Simcity (the first classical version), where you play the mayor of your imaginary city, to keep growing the populations, infrastructures and quality of life. Now this site actually render some pretty impressive interactive map of quite a number of PRC’s cities. Just look at the screenshot above – the main finance district in Shanghai. Looking at the details makes me drool. Just look at the Oriental Pearl Tower, or the Shanghai World Financial Center building. Now where did I put my Simcity 4 ...?

Talking about Simcity, you can actually play that classical version online here (free registration required). Though the graphics are a bit outdated, it’s addictive nonetheless.
