Changing the location of ‘My Documents’ folder

One of the first things I do after installing Windows is to change the location of the My Documents folder. By default, Windows set this folder to C:\Documents and Settings\username\xxxxxx (in Windows XP), or C:\Users\Profile\Documents (In Vista). I find this location hard to navigate to (imagine typing this path in those File Open/Save dialog), and not portable. I’ve been using D:\Doc as my default documents location since many years ago, short and sweet.
To change the default path for your My Documents folder, this website provides an easy guide. Check it out!
